Memorial Day 2023

I lit up my '69 Coleman this evening. It's fitting, since it's from a time when my friends served. They were as much a love story as a comedy team and I miss them dearly. I dusted off their stone at the Veteran's cemetery today and sat with them for a bit. I always hear Grateful Dead lyrics in my head when I visit them.

This was a hard shot to get. The lantern roars like a jet and was like trying to photograph the sun. I had to turn the fuel off and the camera exposure way up and get the shot just as the mantle dimmed before going out. It came out fuzzy...just the way I saw it with tears in my eyes.

Just back from a visit down south and noticed that my truck was GONE.. Red 2001 Ram 1500 with lumber racks and of course antennas all over. 40, 80 meter ham sticks plus dual band uhf/vhf center of roof.. TS120 and TM707G radios plus commercial VHF HT. License is 900LFT. If you see it call the SO they have a report on it.
