You need a 3d printer and other specialized tools to build a gun?

There's a mod to use AR15 barrels in the Aug now because the price of the barrel was the main hang up.

What KILLS me, is that the left is suddenly making a big deal out of the fact that you can build your own AR-15, and actually have parts SENT TO YOUR DOORSTEP!!!
Of course, they FAIL to mention, that the ONLY part of the AR-15 that is considered the "firearm", is the lower receiver. THAT, you either have to:
1. purchase legally, going thru an FFL holder, to identify the registered serial number of your lower, or
2. purchase an "80%" receiver, finish it yourself, and then STAMP YOUR OWN SERIAL NUMBER ON IT, AND REGISTER IT WITH THE ATF. Which is how it's SUPPOSED to work!

BIG SURPRISE!!! BAD GUYS DON'T FOLLOW RULES!!!

So now, instead of enforcing the laws that have already been on the books for YEARS, the left wants to BAN ALL 80% RECEIVERS. Because, you know, none of us can be trusted, obviously! I mean, come on! WHO TRUSTS A SERF???

I have a better idea. Let's bad dumbshits in Congress!!

I don't know much of shit about 3d printing but I have done a lot of welding and I figured that larger layer tests such as 0.4mm look like they were done too cold.

I have 3 3D printers and what I like about them is that I can model something and create it "instantly". I have also found a number of tools that I have 3d printed and used with great success. For example, I printed a sight pusher for my glocks, works great. I've done toys for gifts, a bunch of misc. crap. My wife's favorite item was a bunch of holders for her led tiki torches so they could be mounted on our chainlink fence. Somewhere I have stored the files to print an AR receiver, haven't tried it yet, and really don't see the need to.

 

The only reason to 3d print AR15 lower is to freak out gun grabbers.
