This thread is more about attitude and overcoming adversity than it is about firearms, but it's out there, and as I get older, I think that getting obscure how-to information out here on the web is important. Doing stuff the old fashioned way will make you tired, and maybe dead. I'm still wearing out the equipment at the gym, and have all my digits, but even with all the resources on the internet I still find interests that are either just touched upon, or so obsolete and/or cutting-edge that I'm working without a net. This was fun, and taught me that with the right chemicals and hand tools, I can do pretty much anything. (The 73 month old gas was a pleasant surprise. I was imagining something approaching shellac.)
