Use an old style cast iron radiator, or two, sitting

on both sides of your stove...

 

Just replacing my preheating tanks , I'll be finished tomorrow .
I built this system in 1993 , and now it needs replacement tanks with a solar system for the summer that.I have installed heaters in the
tanks for 1.8kw panels

Something remember is the temperature of the water coming in will determine the time it takes to raise to working tempreture.
So If you have a reservoir in a location that typically stays warmer than the rest of the house this is your preheater to the stove.
One can also use solar for heating water several ways ,if you've got it.
On another note, I have taken an infrared thermometer around the house to see where heat is escaping, and around the inside to see where cold is entering, and reading the differential stove to pipe heat loss up the chimney.
It will also help determine the function of your systems.
