All men are created equal, where they go from birth is up to them. Yes, it is cultural, however, many are able to leave a bad culture behind for a good one and vice-versa. Culture in the US is degrading faster and faster each year. I believe this is due to the education system focusing on making self centered but compliant citizens instead of well educated independent citizens for the last several decades.

What I find sad in every sense of the word is that the followers of the racebaiters don't seem to get that BLM, the Democratic Party, and the like are saying that they're too 'worthless' to make anything out of their lives without it all being handed to them. It reminds me of D.B. Cooper becoming a kind of folk hero for 'sticking it to the man'...the money he stole wasn't government money, they don't have their own money, it's taxpayer money, which means the very people he really stole from were the ones 'worshipping' him...

 

I for one am all in favor of paying reparations. The struggles endured by these blacks since being brought here against their will from their African homelands has been gut wrenching. The pain and suffering bestowed upon them cannot be imagined by a white guy like me. I really feel their pain! I will step up and do my part! It has to be humiliating to have shoes, Iphones, food stamps, free housing, and <gasp> affirmative action. So I will ask my black brethren, which one of you would like me to buy the one way ticket back to the African country of your choosing? I feel so guilty as a white guy that my society has forced you to accept the handouts and the fruits of my labor that I will gladly do my part and pay for one male or two child-bearing age females to get back to the mud hut lifestyle they seem to desire.Which of you whitey crackers will join me in making reparations to our esteemed black brethren? Can I get an AMEN?

Exactly. Why one culture more then others. Why, with all the help given is the culture unable to find their footing? What is the difference? This is a question that I have tried to figure but I cannot find the root of the problem. Yes there are people like this in all culture but it is more prevalent in the black culture. Why so much poverty, high jobless rate?

 

This really is a good question...and if you can figure it out you'll probably win a huge award from some prestigious agency. LOL!
I think it is a combination of many things but mostly - it is cultural.

 

I'm not a scholar or an expert, and an old white guy giving his thoughts about Black people is usually misconstrued, ignored, labeled racist and generally debunked. But with the racial unrest presently in this Country, I'm going to say this and let the Devil take the hindmost.
Now that that's out of the way, here's my experience. Not theory, not scholastic masturbation, but my actual experience.

My last five years working I worked as a counselor in the 'hood in a large city. I worked with mainly minorities, mostly black with a few Asians and Hispanics, but the majority were Black. Many were on parole or probation. Many had Child Protective cases and were facing losing their children or had already lost them to the "system". Most were court ordered. We called it a "Nudge from the Judge".
Very, very few were there voluntarily and if they were it was usually after some type of scrape or relapse.

There's an extreme lack of education in the Black community and not much emphasis on getting one.
If someone wants to break the pattern, they're "Uncle Toms" or "Oreos" or whatever derogatory term is the flavor of the day.

The entitlement mentality is ingrained from birth. Actually it's generational as well.
If there was a free service, goodies of any type, government or community money available, these folks knew where, how and when to get it. Just learning about all the freebies available made my head spin. And because of said free rides, there's no incentive to better oneself.

Procreation is casual and absentee fathers are the norm. It actually seemed to be a point of pride to be a "Baby Daddy" to many children with different "Baby Mommas".

I have zero sympathy with any Black cause. Think about how well "White History Month" would be received. Screw it.

 

I have to say that this is very one sided. Have you looked at the southern states? Many good middle class African Americans who live their faith and have a strong community.

No one talks about the church where the white boy slaughter all those good people in S Carolina and the community kicked BLM and Sharpton out of the area. .. no rioting there.

The issue is poverty and lack of community and personal responsibility.

As long as they see themselves as victims who need help instead of people who help each other, nothing will change. No amount of money will fill that endless pit called 'victim'
