@stg58 men would take care of them .... its one of the great things about men eye candy will always survive maybe not all of them but most will

 

I've been watching alot of 'disaster' shows lately, on wide varieties of topics(mudslides, Chernobyl, ice storm, tornadoes, mega-building collapses, earthquakes, tunnel fires, bombings, gas main explosions, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, airplane crashes) to get an idea of what to do when caught in that situation. And the overwhelming theme I've noticed through them all, DON'T TRUST THE OFFICIALS TO PROTECT YOU!!!

 

Yep...not just political officials, but anyone in 'authority', captain of air/sea crafts, building superintendents, etc. The Mount Saint Helens episode, when the governor is asked why she ignored the geologists' warnings and didn't close down/evacuate the areas that were in danger zone, she went on about how she could do that in time of war, but this wasn't war. And I remember thinking WTF does war have to do with volcanic eruption? That's like me saying because I like cheese, I won't be doing laundry today.

What else I've learned from watching all the disaster videos, if you can't be somewhere else, then you make your peace with God, and then you give it all you've got to FIGHT for your life for whatever time you have left. You don't give up.
