What are you listening to? (ongoing participation thread)

His Birthday is today.

 

Well, now I'm listening to this because it combines one of my fave band with one of my fave movies.

 

Listening to the book American Gun: A History of the U.S. in Ten Firearms (P.S.):Amazon:Books on Audible.com

 

I listen to quite a few recorded books. I drive 2-5 hours each day from job to job, so audio books work well.

 

My brother does the same as you. Since Audible.com was created as a company he was one of the their early customers and has since amassed a massive collection of more than 1500 books. I get to add my interests to his wish list and download them to my PC or tablet. He helps keep me well read.

 

I dusted off my copy of HOT RATS the other day and got lost in Peaches en Regalia. I went looking for a video which didn't feature just the album cover and then I found this;

I found it rather interesting.

 

Liberty Movement Radio LMR

Although it has nothing directly to do with @Falcon15's In Case of Emergency Prepper Show, which is simply hosted on Liberty Movement Radio.... but when we listen to this Liberty Movement Radio, they almost lost us on the marijuana song they played by Macklemore Thrift Shop called Pot Shop -- full of gangster rap four letter MFer words. Hope there's not so much trash talk language music like that rap song. We almost stopped listening to Jack Spirko of SurvivalPodcast for the angry vulgar language reason, but he doesn't drop F bomb at least. We'll still keep an open mind and give it a listen for a while longer. I guess they are trying to bring the Libertarian / Patriot Liberty movement to a younger rap loving potty-mouthed crowd? Same goes for Rebel Inc. 909 Revolution heavy metal song. I like some classic heavy metal like Zeppelin but not this stuff peppered with lots of F bombs. Guess maybe we're just gettin' old -- 'generation gap'?
