    Awesome song. I like both of the singers. Been there, done that, got the scars on my heart to prove it. Just didn't die. Hurt some others with no real intent to do so while I had my heart encased with armor plate steel. Met someone who melted that steel, who taught me it was better to hurt than not feel at all. Recently did a search on my first true love, and found she is separated from her 5th husband. I still wonder faintly what would have happened had I taken a different path. Songs like this one open old wounds. ...... such is life

    Tac, Your story, is a Mirror to My own.... Recently got a Facebook Friend request from my second Love, from 40+ years ago. My first Love died, Oh so young... and I married the third, and still am, going on 40 Years next summer. I have often wondered how #2 faired in life, and what would have happened if we had stayed together. She is a wonderful Gal, and has lived a full, and happy life, so far. HOWEVER, she is a Hopeless Liberal, and I am sure, this would have eventually caused a Terminal Issue. So much better to refresh friendships, and just agree to disagree, on the differences.... I hope she and I can have a FaceMeet, sometime, as she also moved to alaska, 10 years ago, when she reTired. Old Friends are a treasure, and a Good Woman, CAN teach an Old Dog a thing or two, if she plays the relationship, correctly.... .... YMMV.....
