Tried my newest AM RX set up last night with a new antenna (17ft whip)
Antena feeds into my AN-200 loop and the radio sits inside of that loop. Fine tuning for signal peak is via the loop's capacitor. That was for stations below 1140 Khz.

Last night snagged just about every AM station in AK - from Nome to Juneau, Fairbanks and one on 530AM in Toronto, Canada.

The station in Nome, a village of just 3,700, hosts KICY - 850 AM. Class A - 50Kw.
Station of the Month: KICY-AM 850 - Kintronic Laboratories, Inc.
After 11PM (to 4AM) , they change the 3 antenna array to beam their signal into Russia & change to Russian Language programming.

Last I was in Nome, I spent the day inside of a sat dish hub changing out an LNB and other maintenance tasks. Wasn't able to do any SWL or AM DXing. I've lived here for over 35 years and I'm still learning fun stuff about the radio stations here....
