Okay. Since you mentioned this, I have been doing some researching. One person said they put coating on the inside and outside. Another said if you spray it and line the can with cardboard it would work. What I have always heard is you need a rubber gasket. .

 

A mil spec ammo can has a silicone gasket built in, just line the can all it's doing is insulating from halo voltage in the air like static but because it has a high charge it overloads low or DC voltage systems. I also wrap or place the things in an anti-static bag I have plenty from electronic or computer parts,
