The world just seems to be spinning out of control, but the same could be said by folk of every generation....I'm sure that the same sentiments might have been expressed by people who lived just prior to, during and after WWI, the roaring 20's, Prohibition, The Stockmarket Crash of '29 and the ensuing Great Depression, the rise of the fascist dictatorships, WW2, The Korean War, The Cold War, The Nuclear Arms Race, political radicalism of the 60's and early 70's, The Vietnam War, The dissolution of the Soviet Union, Globalisation, The rise of China, Wall to wall wars in the middle east and the 'stans, the rise of militant Islam, The global financial crisis, and so forth. The main thing is not to allow oneself to be sucked into a panic by those who would exploit people's sense of insecurity and uncertainty and a desire for stability and predictability. When I hear politicians offering easy solutions to seemingly intractable problems, and promising that under their administration that they will guarantee that the trains will run on time...is when I will start dusting off my passport and finding a safe haven that doesn't favour black and white stripes as their preferred fashion design for me at the Sobibor Hilton.

Well said. As this world gets smaller, the problems do get bigger though. And your take on Carson is correct which shows how much trouble we're really in when he's at this time, considered a frontrunner.

They added a tent to the side of the rig yesterday. The other curious thing is the few "civilian" cars that they allowed into the roped off perimeter include an $80K convertible Mercedes Benz, some Cadillacs, and a very pricey looking BMW. Weirdness continues.
