Actually, I am tired of refuting your every little point, Avarice. Go HERE these are their "Principles of Solidarity" - ostensibly in "draft" format.

Read the sidebar comments. I am done arguing this point. I support their right to Legally and peacefully protest. They are, for the MOST PART a bunch of brain dead socialists.

I'm sorry you're getting frustrated with me. I'll concede that it is increasingly being embraced by socialists.

I just think it's getting hijacked just like the tea party did. A simple, truthful movement we can all agree on is being manipulated and twisted into extremism that divides the country. Not the first time they've done it to us.

 

HIJACKED?! Everything I showed you with the exception of the "solidarity list" existed from the very beginning of this movement! Avarice, do better research before espousing opinions like "I think it's getting hijacked". Please. This was an "extremist movement" from day one! Take the time, make the effort, read their meeting minutes they are PUBLIC record and posted proudly on their main site!

 

I was wrong, you are right. I was trying to fit how I feel into what is popular here on Survival Monkey. There is definite socialism involved in nearly all of the groups.

I will continue to support them in their efforts to fight greed and corruption, but will cease to try telling people it's not a bunch of socialists.

EDIT: I think the problem was I am sitting here saying, "I like Unions, Unions are good." But I had to face the truth that Unions are socialist. These people are trying to do good things, but they are socialists.

No one said life was fair. Anyway, I think someone was standing down wind of the open maryjane burn when they came up with this list of demands.

You know that we would all pay 98% tax rate to fund all this free stuff. Disney will need a bailout because no one will be able to afford a vacation again because they didn't include free transportation, hotel and park entrance in their list of demands. Sheesh the idiots !

 

So after reading the list, my take on it all is this,
They dont want to be accountable for debt that they freely made to their benefit.
They dont want to be accountable for the debt we all have allowed our goverment to
Have created.
They dont want the responsiblity of earning a education, or a living.
I could go on but I guess the point is we have a spoiled bunch of people.

 

I tend to get riled whenever these people start ranting about wanting "Equal outcome" instead of Equal Opportunity, they want to be GIVEN all they want, instead of taking personal responsibility and working to make it happen.
They are The Entitlement Generation(s), and they want it NOW!!
