I’ve come to the conclusion that there isn’t anyone left with an original thought process anymore, or they are far and few in between.
The boxcars are all empty And the railroad bulls are blind. There's a lake of stew - And whiskey too- You can paddle all around them in a big canoe In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
So not shoot a skunk that is under your house with a 'shorty' shotgun. I like sleeping under the stars, for a few weeks.........ooops stinkbyrd
It warn't me, I joked about it and the kid did it. Drilled a hole in the floor and poured 15gals in to the crawl space, vinigar, cheeper and works just as good as tomato juice. yeppers nasty but WHTH still not nice thing,,,,,, ha ha ha ha
A literacy test for those that might remember. Who wrote the following? "--the middle-class non identity which finds its perfect expression in rows of well-to-do houses with lawns and television sets in each living room with everybody looking at the same thing and thinking the same thing at the same time." HINT: This was written 50 years ago (1956) yet remains relevant if you think about it. Sheeple, anyone?
I finally got to see it rain in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<st1lace w:st="on">Minnesota</st1lace></st1:State>….. Took almost 4 months……. But I see it today……..
I do not remember (so I looked it up). It's from the same man who wrote: "I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion" What do you know of it's history?
You should not have remembered, before your time by some, but you see some of the results of that thought process. It lingers still in many ways. The background is vague to me, but he was seeking something to satisfy his wish for meaning, landed in the area he wrote it in, pounded it out in a couple months. Not at all sure he ever found it, whatever it was. Dissipated philosopher at the end.
So, a couple days ago i started casually surfing this site looking for a piece of survival info on something I can no longer remember. I just became a member and have spent upwards of six hours a day just reading posts and making casual comments on things i've read... and I STILL have NO IDEA what it was that I came here looking for to begin with!!!! I now officially have a love/hate relationship with this site, though to be honest it is mostly on the love side now. I just wish I could remember what the heck I was looking for! Oh well, I'm having a blast getting to know the site and the characters on it! I just have this sneaking suspicion that there is going to be a SHTF scenario and I'm going to need something to survive and it will hit me WHAM! "THAT'S WHAT I WAS TRYING TO FIND ON SURVIVAL MONKEY!" - will be my last words
Welcome to our little patch of the world wide web. If you look around I think you can find about anything you might ever need here. And a lot of things you won't too! LOL
Did MbRodge just call us a bunch of characters? I'll have you know I resemble that remark! Don't worry, you'll probably find more stuff than whatever it was you forgot, anyhow. ~Falcon
I'd rather be a character, than nondescript.... And thanks for the earworm, ghrit! Now, "froggy went a courtin' " is stuck in my head!
