Shooting uphill or downhill will result in high shots if the angle is roughly 15 degrees or more or if the range is very long for lesser angles. The actual bullet drop is dependant on the true horizontal distance to the target not the slant range.
Jack and Jilll went up the hill to take a shot at a buffalo. Too bad they forgoat what Quig has just wrote And the buff speared them both on his horns.
I'm posting, talking on the phone and listening to some music at a fast pace. Look ma, no dialup. WiFi Rocks. Went from 44k dialup to 11mb per second wifi connection. Yay for me. On another front. I did play hooky. Shame on me I know. Work over my computer? Never. Haha. Really though, migraines are hell if you wake up with them. Glad it's gone. On another front. If everything goes right and the general gets back from his party sober enough to sign my paper tomorrow, I will most likely be swearing in on Friday. That's good news though I am not counting on it until the ink is dry.
Okay, have some update information to post. Though I will post it when I have had a good nights sleep.
Okay, so here's my news. Yes, I fianally was accepted. I swore in with the CA Army National Guard Friday morning. Everything is good for the moment. I enlisted as 11B or Infantry for those who don't know. I will be doing one drill a month until I ship for Basic. That drill will be just like they want to prepare me for Basic. Comes with the yelling, smoking, running and more. I will ship to the Infantry Training Grounds at Fort Benning January 23 of '07. I wished it was sooner, though as I watched over the guy's shoulder, I noticed that he wasn't lying to me about it. No slots till then. So this is the first step that I have taken. The next will be graduation from Basic. I am happy now, though not totally high. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, though I know I can finally say that I made it into the military. All I have to do now is prove myself which will be easily done as I will give the best account of myself that I can. So that's my news. Glad someone wanted to hear about it. Maybe I need to get out more and find some friends.
Congratulations on this new beginning. Yes, we do want to hear how thing go for you so keep us posted.
Hoooah. Just remember, keep a good attitude, and everything will go smoothly. What you learn will stay with you always, nobody can ever take it away. Attention to detail, following orders, teamwork, discipline, demolitions, four major classes of booby traps, qualities civilian employers love to see......or most of them anyway. Most of your drill sergeants will be combat vets, if you think they're being hard on you, they just want you to pay attention, learn everything they can teach you so you will stay alive. I won't tell you what year I did my basic and AIT, it was t..t.. a few years ago, must be some kind of space-time continuum thing going on here. If you need anything, let us know, we will send you care packages.
Thanks for all the congrats. I will do my level best to become a great addition to the grand military history that we have here. I will remember all that I learn and I know that the details will keep you alive. I have been waiting so long for this opportunity and I will not blow it. I'll have to keep in mind that 'Pain is just weakness leaving the body'.
Congrats TMH Welcome to the club, I was where you are going 22 years ago, except you get new barracks there. Enjoy your hills all three of the bastards! Enjoy your time and you will remember it for the rest of your life. So make it a great memory!

I heard you didn't want the runs. Just me? Just got back up and running from a glitch in my computer. Took two whole days to reformat everything and reinstall. Stupid 'explorer.exe' file brought to you by Windows. 'Windows for those who want to crash hard.'
