That reminds me of a friends shooting tunnel... It's used to eleiminate wind for ballistics and accuracy testing. Ric
That's absolutely wonderful EL! I love it when kids are involved in something...and it sounds like she is doing grand! You sound just like the very proud parent you are... (and willing to bet she's proud of her dad too.... )
Something to keep it moving along. Yesterday had one of the best sloppy joes ever in my life and I made it. Whoo hoo. Yay me. We made them up for the guys and gals where I worked and I have some pride in my work though I just didn't really know the extent of it until I tasted on of the joes. I think my tongue beat my brain out. Haha. I don't go for that canned joe sauce. I like to make my own from scratch and it was good. Best part was the meat in it. I put all the ground beef on a tray and bake it in the oven in a big, almost flat slab which I then cut crudely with a dull blade. It makes good size chunks. Take the meat and simmer it in the sauce for a while and then serve up. One would dare say be a meal for most people. On another front, haven't heard anything from the recruiter so I'm sitting here waiting. I hate waiting. I have a vast amount of patience though sometimes it runs thin, like now. Haha. Okay, so sue me if it's lame though I grabbed this and changed the words. This is the thread that never ends. It goes on and on my friends. Some people started posting, not knowing what it was. And they'll continue posting on forever just because, This is the thread that never ends. It goes on and on my friends....
Bravo! I sing that song (the original one) without warning when my kids are arguing ridiculously, just to show them something really annoying. Saves me from having to grump at them and it only takes a few verses before they stop arguing and become as a team trying to stop me. He he he Yeah, my methods might be a little , but they work! Hey - Who ('cept TMH ) knows what 90's television show the original version was on and who (character name) sang it?
Just got back from vacation at Indian Lake State Park here in Ohio. Had a great time fishing and annoying my wife, well it's my job you know! Met a local up there whom I exchanged phone info with. He agreed to give me a fishing report when the fish start really hitting. It's about a two hour drive, may plan a day trip up this fall just to fish.
I've decided to try and keep up with Bizarre Holidays this year (sig line will keep changing). Today, along with Talk like a Pirate day, is also Butterscotch Pudding day. Tomorrow is National Punch Day (tho' they don't specify if I get to drink the stuff or deck somebody... so watch out ). We all need something to celebrate now and then. I'll provide the excuses; you all keep celebrating! Together; we'll make this world a better place to be! Keep Smiling!
Random Thought.... Had a migraine today. Didn't know whether I was going to belch or spew chunks. Felt like someone was hitting me with a hammer. Began to think that the only thing I could have done was beat my skull against a wall. Took some aspirin that didn't help much. Put a shirt over my eyes and went to sleep. Didn't feel too hot when I awoke. Went for a walk and a bite to eat in a little known diner which must have been founded in the 20s. Had two cups of coffee with dinner and all is right with the world now. Moral: Coffee cures what ails ya.
Coffee! It's the drug of choice for millions. TMH, it is good for clearing the sinuses as well. Some people can't handle the caffeine, which reminds me, I need my fix. OTT, I plan to forgo work and just go fishing today.
Exactly! It's the caffeine in Excedrin that makes it work so well for headaches... It's also why people get headaches when they quit drinking coffee.....withdrawals... Know all about that....I'm never giving up caffeine again..I cut down..but I refuse to quit.
Ok...Back from 3 days of Pirating...and Parrotheading.... Only one bad thing...Poor Jodi got her nose broken in 5 places....(someone was glad , for the first time, that I am always prepared, I'll tell you that!) It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening.......
It involved a pool and a lot of tequila....and one very drunk jerkface that ALWAYS thinks he needs to throw people in the pool... My only consolation is he lost both his phones and his digital camera... I will add...these are yummy boat drinks....and also pour extra Vanilla Rum on the top before serving... Dreamsicles... Brinley Gold Vanilla Rum Fresh Orange Juice Orange juice concentrate (Minute-Maid) Cream (half and half) Corn syrup (Karo) Vanilla extract (McCormick's)
