My random thought escaped me. I sent myself to look for it so if it comes back I'll let you all know. Haha. Anyways, here's another one to fill in. I finished Lights Out and man, that was sweet. Can't wait myself. Be glad when it hits the fan to cut down on a lot of the 'stupid' that is going on. However I now have to add Super Gangs to my list of things to look out for and prepare for them. Also, don't forget wild dogs.
I don't know about all this complaining about the heat..It's not that bad here... <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">SAT Intermittent Clouds </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">SUN Partly Sunny w/ T-storms </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">MON Intermittent Clouds </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">TUE Intermittent Clouds </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">WED Intermittent Clouds </TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">high: 91°F low: 76°F </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">high: 90°F low: 79°F </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">high: 88°F low: 75°F </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">high: 89°F low: 73°F </TD><TD vAlign=top align=middle width="20%">high: 90°F low: 73°F </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Then again...90 is about right for this time of year..It's Sept that will do you in...
Looks like we're on the downside of my "whining weather". Only 97 here, now (up from 91 a couple of hours ago ) and supposed to be decreasing in temperature by 5 degrees each day for the next few days. Whew! That's more like it!
Thanks. It's kinda' anti-Tracy, and it cracks me up.... So; as long as it doesn't offend anyone, I think I'll keep it.
Tracy, I second the cool avatar. Nice. As far as the heat. I need one of those fan-conditioners. Though where I would run the water from six floors up is a problem. Might rain on my neighbors downstairs. Haha. Was definitely hot here the other day. I have no window unit or fan and I'm on the top floor. Doesn't help matters that right out my window is this big white building which throws the heat directly in through my window. I try to keep my door open though all the potheads walking through the hall are smoking out and that smell gets in here and drives me bonkers. Hate pot smoke. Smells like burning crap to me. Don't know how they do it. As for my little piece of the 'Keep this thread alive' puzzle, I had a job interview today with a good company. They have health benefits, okay pay, you can travel to exotic locales, they have a great life insurance policy that will take care of any bills and burial should I happen to prematurely evacuate my body, they have snappy looking uniforms and the best part is you get to protect people. I like it. Will hear something Tuesday about if I'm hired or not. Yay for me. Whoo hoo.
Thanks. I hope everything goes as planned. Just hope Murphy doesn't show up. If he does, he's one dead badluck charm. Haha. I'd have to find a very sneaky dispersal unit for that and I'd have to buy myself a as I don't think the seals around my door would keep it out. And there is nothing worse than your own tricks working on you.
Just back from 3 days camping with the kids. Ahhh... fresh air and fire-side stories. Hiked a bit. Relaxed a lot. No TV, video games, or radio. The kids survived. It was Heaven for me! Hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend!!
Okay, a little update on my situation. Right now I'm drinking coffee before I get ready for a 10am interview with Goodwill. Seems like a good idea to try and get a job for temporary until the other thing works out. Borrowed a 'tactical' movie from a guy so later today I will be studying it to point out things in a SHTF situation. The movie? Night of the Living Dead. Got to watch out and be prepared for those zombies. Then again if all they want is brains, I know a lot of people that will not be bothered. Morning yall. Have a good day.
Okay, so I'm about to drop. Been up since 4 this morning. The job it turns out is for me to be a Paid Intern. I was contacted today by the Salvation Army and they wanted to interview me as well. So it turns out that both positions are for paid interns. The Goodwill one is for warehouse donation sorter. The one for the SA is Cook Assistant in a Drug/Alcohol Rehab Center. I think I am going to accept the cooking one. I like food and preparing it so that may be my best bet. I'll get 25 hours a week at $8.82 per hour, so the money isn't great though it's okay. Only thing is I have to get a chef's coat and some checkered pants. Who wears checkered pants? Geez. Oh well, it's a job. So that's the update.
TMH, if you have a problem finding them drop me a PM and let me know what size you wear. If your a good sized fella I may be able to dig up a set or 2 left from when I worked in kitchens, I just use the coats now for butchering.
