Falcon knows, the sunglasses are actually Oakley Jawbone, of course living in the gym doesn't hurt either.
Heh, I am told I look like death warmed over most days. Texans are mighty accommodating. Come on over, the salsa is fine. Speaking as a non-native, adopted Texan, This state has everything Florida has, and more. More illegals, more land, more wide-open spaces...
We Alaskan have a saying, for uppity Texicans, that come north and brag about Texas..... "If we cut alaska in half, Texas would be the third largest State, and if we did it in thirds we could almost make it the fourth largest State".....
Thought I would check on Oregon while i was at it: http://www.winterwildlands.org/resources/reports/WWA_OR.pdf Then you have too add our Wildernesses, State public land, BLM land and parks. This is a interesting fact sheet for forest numbers: Land Acreage total forest land (most recent) by state its too bad we are Liberal ran ..
It is NOT unusable, it just takes more WORK, than old John Q wants to put in... some of the best redoubts for SHTF folks can be built up here, and there are less than a Million folks, (2010 Census) living in the whole State.... We really do not have to worry much about John Q, out here as he can't live out this far, anyway.... some have tried, and most have given up and moved on.... The worst John Q can do to us is show up in the summers and spend his Touristoe money, and go home.....
Of course these guys are going to have their opinions, and for the average Folks the points they make are valid, but for TRUE Perppers, and Outdoors Folks, none of these objections are a real problem for surviving, out here. I would be willing to bet that QS could do just fine out here, if he were to build a setup, and get prepped, as could many of the rest of the hardcore. This country just does the weeding out, naturally, rather than waiting for the miscreants to do it. If you're here and prepped, you will do just fine, and if you try and come, AFTER, the effort will, as pointed out, be pointless. YMMV...
Last summer 2009 I vacationed in Alaska. While there, I rented a car so I could sightsee. On one or two occasions I visited Sam's Club for gas and food. One of the things that still sticks in my head is how several shoppers used those large flat carts to buy their groceries. Large carts, stacked up with cases of stuff. Those people know how to prep. They may have been buying their winter supply of food. Certainly they were not the 'just in time' crowd seen at the nearby Wally World. However, the Wal*Mart actually had handguns for sale, only on I have ever been in that sold handguns.
A diamond shines no brighter than the Christmas star. It shines in all its brilliance; it's seen from near or far. A symbol of the Christ child as He lay upon the hay, It tells to all the waiting world a King was born that day. O Bethlehem Star keep shining - give us faith and hope and love. Keep our thoughts forever turning to the Savior up above. Give us strength and hope and courage to do our best by far And never falter in our faith as we watch that Christmas star...
Yeah same here, we usually have two or three flats loaded pretty hard with groceries and canned goods.. I love Sam's Club.
