It's nice to fantasize about Musk and Patel cleaning up corruption, but until I see the first elected official go to jail over some of this it remains just a fantasy in my mind. The fact that damn near anyone elected to federal office becomes a multi-millionaire in just a few years screams to me that they are all in collusion. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. There is no freakin' way on;y one party is in on the scam, We all scream that the Democrats heads need to roll, but they pretty much have to ALL be guilty for the scam to work. We all thought Hillary would surely go to jail for multiple breaches of the National Security Act, never happened. We just knew Nixon would be put behind bars for wiretapping, but it never happened. Our House and Senate has become nothing more than a Cabal of thieves getting rich from tax dollars and illegal insider trading that they themselves made legal for THEM to do but not us. DOGE uncovered SS checks going to people who can't possibly be alive. Should be fairly easy to see who has been cashing these and bring charges. Anyone hear of any? I brought up to my congressman a few months ago that maybe Trump would clean house, and his reply was "Things like that take years to fix". Now I don't trust him either. I'm sure at some point the bread and circus act will come out, and someone like Schiff will "resign" to "avoid prosecution" just to appease the public. I still don't know how resigning is a substitute for prosecution. Wouldn't work for me and you. If I worked in a bank and decided to empty the vault one Friday afternoon, got caught, and offered to quit my job do ya think they would laugh off the millions I took because I resigned? My point is this: Until this den of thieves starts going to jail for some real jail time, until they start marching some of these corrupt assholes out of Washington, and until we see action instead of news reports don't swallow it. I don't mean one or two scapegoats either. We all know in our hearts how bad it is and how many are involved.
