The "one gun" I usually have near to hand

Don't underestimate the vulnerability to the sides in most body armor. A transthoracic high velocity (>1000 fps) wound crossing the mediastinum (in one side out the other) is uniformly fatal. Slower projectiles are only slightly less than uniformly fatal.

i used to carry a glock model 22 untill my wife just bought me a ruger sr1911 over the weekend. god i love that gun.

 

Haven't had a chance to mess with the ruger, glad to hear you like it. Maybe someday i'll get the chance to find out for myself why others say it rocks so hard.

No, I am down in Alabama. If I miss type it is cause I suffered a stroke a while back and am still teaching myself to do stuff different ways.
