Survival Uses for Pantyhose

Use the leg section to polish the spokes on my Harley little bit of polish wrap it around the spoke and pull back and forth works great

 

Wasn't really a survival use (except for the pump), but Dad used to use Mom's old pantyhose, to act as a lint catcher, on the water discharge hose from the washing machine. Since we were on a septic system, the washer drained into a big double sink, which drained into a pump, that would pump that water out to the septic tank. Worked fantastically, for the 26 years they were in that house.

 

I was told they were used as a pre filter on car air intakes during the mount St Helens eruption
