I have been running 40:1 two stroke gas for a while now. Only problem is after a lot of ideling the last time I used it the ngk medium heat range BPMR8Y spark plug fouled out. This plug has been in there for 2 or 3 years, maybe longer. I'm going to try a BPMR6Y equivalent plug which is 2 heat ranges hotter.
I ran it last week, lots of ideling, used it yesterday running it wide open, normal ideling and it still fouled. So that tells me once carbon fouling gets on the plug, it tends to stay there and probably not getting hot enough.
Putting a propane torch on the fouled ngk plug was able to return the plug to serviceability for now. I have more BPMR8Y plugs I'll just test the BPMR6Y out, I may find that that its too hot (unlikely with 40:1 gas).

Torching the plug gave me another tank of gas worth of run time out of that fouled plug.

    Layered incompetence isn't incompetence.
Fema sends 3 pallets of battery powered chainsaws to north Carolina to a community that won't have power for at least 6 weeks.
Lithium ion batteries are shipped at around 50% charge because they have the best shelf life at about half charge and they're least likely to spontaneously combust while while sitting at half charge.
Best case scenario each battery cuts for 10 minutes and each saw appears to come with one battery....

Project farm did a video on electric chainsaws and found nearly all were unsuitable for cutting full size trees.
Fully charged batteries lasted anywhere from 4 to 20 minutes doing cuts on thicc trees and recharge times varied from 40 to a bit over 2hr. Kind doesn't matter when you don't have any fuckin electricity to recharge batteries.
Those saws are probably run on the higher end of 20 minutes with a full charge.
