Strange Sounds Around The World

The large boom and shaking some mention i think sounds like earthquakes. When i lived in way upstate NY we'd get small quakes a couple times a year and there was always a large boom and then shaking for about 30 seconds or so.

 

I lived in socal for about 6 years and felt a few earthquakes but never heard anything like that. I have no guesses.

 

The moaning sounds no, the boom yes. For what ever reason there would be a boom sound right before the shaking. Not large quakes like you had in cali. Just usually 3-4's. Catillus may have been up in the north country for a couple of them...

 

You know, it does sound like screeching from something rubbing on something else. Perhaps rock on rock.

 

Dang !! who has been anywheres ??I have heard the Aurora Borealis, Northern ...northern lights.
