I'm not sure how that laser takes into account balance, wind and terrain factors, but I guess it could help folks for whom "the tree is gonna fall the direction the notch faces" (barring those aforementioned situational factors not addressed by the laser) is problematically too technical.
I'm not an expert but I've used chainsaws a lot and this laser idea about as needful as using a laser to help you hit the Urinal.
But...but...but...it's for when you need to make those really precise cuts with a 18-24" hand-held saw running at 3000 RPM at arms length...
