Some AK vs AR questions

I had a couple, and had to work on them to get them right. Lots of work with a Dremel, after that they ran fine. Both of the ones I bought had a canted front sight too. So most of them do need some work, but hey for a really cheap rifle they are okay.

 

OK, who's the tard that still uses black and white film!!! Taking a picture of a gun with black and white film doesn't make it a "black" rifle

 

Actually, while we were fooling around test firing the rifle and taking pics I accidentally hit the black and white button on the digital camera and didn't know it until I downloaded the pics later.

 

That is pretty funny No I am not a manufacturer( just a garage builder with friends) , I just help spread the gospel and knowledge that is AK related. Monkey Man's AK was a joint effort and a gift, and an honor to work on. At the build party I just tried to help show folks how easy an AK can be to build and it was a great time.

Sorry I don't have a website, but there is nothing I can tell you that isn't out there already, lol. Well I have a few touches I have picked up that are kinda my icing, but I can't share that

 

If you wanted to send it to me I would be happy to take a look at it, and I bet I could get it refinished in Moly resin pretty reasonablly

 

Hmmm or maybe trade up on a Romy? Did you see the pics I posted on the Romanian AKM?

 

I saw the pics I bet you could swap that maadi off locally?

Say, just for my info, what is the finish on mine? I know I already wore it off a bit where the saftey selector rubbs but it seems pretty cool and I know you mentioned it should be highly resistant to runt (even more now that I put a couple coats of corrosion-X on it probably ). I was just wondering so that at least when I go to brag on it I can know what all the perks are.

 

I use Duplicolor 1200 Degree engine paint on all of mine, and the one we built for you. I didn't have a chance to try to Moly it.
