Ed, here are a couple videos by a longtime Cali resident & almost native Cali gal who runs her YT channel called Prepper Princess. I've only seen a few of her videos, and can say that she is into frugal living, practical approaches to food storage, and minimizing energy usage. The reasons why she is leaving are varied---from personal to fed up with the state & local government. One thing certain, she has bought land with a home in rural Arizona and will be moving soon.
