Did you hold up a bank before that trip??? LOL

Caution on the gas - with the current additives, gas doesn't hold up well beyond 30 days

way to go girl!!! looks like you made a big trip ))) I missed you :) there is always gas stabilizers, so the fuel is ok, just use it and refill :) thats what we are doing.

One of my clients (and good friends) is an equipment dealer and their advise is even with stabilizers, gas can go bad after a month.

You'd think I did but nope.... wrote mostly checks. I got OUT of the habit of using my charge card unless I had to for like ordering online a long time ago. RightHand.... we've rid ourselves of so much excess we're ok doing this every once in a while. No way could we have done this just a year ago before we started hacking away at our services like cable tv and everything else under the sun. Little bit here and a little bit there and it all added up. I'm going to rotate out the gas just like I do with our pantry items. The other thing is I had money set aside for some of these things and was just looking for best pricing. I finally had some time last Thursday to sit down and check out all the pricing so I did it. I stored the gas in the garage by the door. Once they're empty, we'll refill them because I always want enough gas stashed to get us up to Milwaukee and back twice a week in case gas stations shut down. The StaBil is for my chainsaws. I signed up for a workday because I want to bring some Norway Maple home to stack and it might be another 2 months or so before I can do another workday. The wood is free if you volunteer taking the invasives down. So far I've had good luck using the StaBil up to 3 months. A cord of wood went up to $125 here. Last year it was only $65. Gag me. BTW.... I unearthed a small generator in the storage shed and guess what>>>>? Somebody put it away and forgot to empty it of the gas so somebody is going to have to set it on the kitchen table and do something to ungunk the carburetor to get it running again. Ha ha ha.... that somebody isn't me!!! It had StaBil in it... They used it last November. Didn't make it 3 months!!!
    --
CANDY> that was 4 trips and 4 different stores over last week plus some mail order and ordering some local services like for the cords of wood and the pallet of dog food.

Well, Monkeys... Just won 10 of the iDen/ISM Secure Comms Units on eBay. An Interesting, SECURE, Comm's Device, for your CN-AoO - Survival Monkey Forums I also ordered a Simm Card Programmer, so that I can make my own Simm Cards for these units, and I will program any other Monkey's Simm Cards, for just postage, should they get these without one. The rest of my Preps have been in place for years.
