I actually considered buying a new ar-15 based system in .223 and or a ak system in 7.62x39 ........ but then I thought I would just wait and acquire these as fortunes of war post shtf. Harvested at extended range with my .308 ar-10. It does bother me a bit that I have no weapons in these calibers, but I think weapons and ammo both should be common soon enough.

Recently acquired cast iron cooking items; 18x10" reversable smooth grill / raised rib grate, 9.5 in square pan with raised rib grate and cast iron weight to speed cooking and keep things flat, and a 6 qt honest to god dutch oven with tripod legs and flat recessed lid with rim to hold coals. and last but not least ordered my tattler lids for canning 576 wide mouth and 288 regular.

 

were did u get you cast iron from ?

 

Tractor supply had the 6 qt dutch oven, and Sears had the griddle and skillet with weight. All on sale for $15 each
