Those cheapie Chinese ammo bandoleers will hold 120 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo in 10-round stripper clips. This loaded bandoleer folds and fits nicely into a standard 7.62 NATO surplus ammo can. Set 1 10-round stripper clip on top and you have a ready-made 230-round combat load. In addition, the old "Nam-era" web gear ammo pouches that hang on the front of the web harness carry 80 rounds in each pouch. Two ammo pouches (80+80) plus the bandoleer (220) plus 10 rounds in the rifle give a basic ammo load of 390 rounds, all stripped and ready to go.
I am able to get 110 rounds, 7 x 10 rnd stripper and 2 x 20 rnd boxes in the old alice usgi ammo pouches. But didn't know that about the bandolier. Thanks.
