Full disclosure. I've done worse than that. One trick involved compressing the spring under the cars differential, tying with coat hangers and then assembling the strut/ spring and cutting the wires in a (dry) benjo ditch for "safety".
The Amish know more about non-electric lighting than anybody that flicks a switch to turn their lights on. What caught my eye in this picture was the modern ceiling lamp shade, inverted and attached to the ceiling hook as a heat and soot guard. It works in addition to the hanging smoke bell to maintain the homes attractive appearance. A great tip for folks like me that actually use their non-electric lamps.
That's quite a wreck. Haven't found the back story yet. Had a friend get in a single car crash in Okinawa where his engine ended up in a parking lot entrance 70 meters away. The picture of his engine made the local paper. He survived to crash many more cars.
