I had a dog that looked very much like that when I was a kid. Could not keep him in a pen, even with a chicken wire top. He was amazing to watch. He'd point beautifully when he found a quail, but that was the limit of his good behavior as a hunting dog. If I shot the bird he would be there to catch it as it fell, but bringing the bird back was never something he mastered.
I keep a plastic drain cleaner gizmo attached to my vacuum. Easy as pie to unclog. Peter and Henry shed a bit. Especially this time of year. (Yeah yeah. I vacuum)
I didn't have any cardboard or newspaper to put this fount on, so I improvised. The Food Lion bag turned out to work better, and even provides a trash bag for used gloves and paper towels when the job is completed. Would work as well for any messy job. Painting, cleaning, gluing. The rim of the bucket makes it easy to rotate the work.
