This fit at the top of the lamp shade and the heat from the bulb (or earlier gas lamp) would cause the shade to rotate. It was a great way for a kid to go to bed before electronic communication made things like this boring. i look back and think "They'll never know the joy of simple things."
Winter garage floor pad. When it's in the teens outside the garage floor is chilly. I can zip across the cold concrete floor with bare feet, but when I get to where I'm going (washing machine, refrigerator, work bench) and have to stand still for more than a few seconds it gets painfully cold. These seat pads that are made for sitting on bleacher seats or kneeling on are also really nice to stand on. They have made countless trips to the garage more comfortable and saved me from needing to go put shoes on. For a guy with a titanium knee, they're also absolutely necessary for kneeling.
I've been on a couple fishing charters like that. Used to be able to eat oysters and greasy fried chicken on those trips and never have an issue. Something changed when I hit 50. Now I can make myself carsick driving in the mountains.
