    A Constitutional Admendment is totally worthless when you have a Stalin - Hitler wanna be in the White House ....... he's just ignoring the law of the land and abusing the will of the people ...... can't wait for a real change ........

    You know what bugs me the most about this whole fiasco?

    Suddenly a lot of people are calling social security "an entitlement". And seem to think that by some leap in logic (I guess its called that) paying back the people - like myself - who have paid into it their entire working life is optional.


    Well, yeah, I guess thinking about it a second it is an entitlement. It is MY MONEY you're $%&^ right I am entitled to it. But giving it back to me in a way that is useful TO ME is most flippin certainly NOT optional ![beat]

    It's not your money. It's my money. Your money went to pay for the schleps ahead of you. My money is paying into my fathers SS , yours, and any other retiree. Quite frankly, there won't be any SS for me.. it's a ponzi and so I am shoring up my finances now so I don't put my eggs in the proverbial SS Entitlement basket.

    Nothing will change until theirs no choice. that time is coming, the longer they delay the restucturing of society the more time i have to prepare.

    Social security was always supposed to be a "supplement" and not a retirement plan. I would rather habpvethemoney and invest it myself. Entitlements will be the final nail in the coffin. We will add 20-30 trillion in liabilities by 2017. Put that in your debt pipe and smoke it. We are beyond debtor nation.

    You're smart to not depend on SS... I collect SS after 53 years of "contributing."

    I also still work. I receive $ XXX annually from SS. I have the equivalent of $XXX/3 taken out of my paycheck for SS "contributions." The other two thirds, I am taxed on by the IRS.

    I literally pay for about half of my own Social Security, because I don't feel like being a porch monkey in a rocking chair. Reverse Darwinism is alive and well in America.

    I will be turning 62, in the next few hours, and have my SS all setup, and waiting for the first check on October 12th. I watched those Yahoos in DC for the last two months, very closely, as they messed around with the issues. I just needed them to not DO ANYTHING, until after I got my first check, and then became "In the system" No way they will EVER mess with those ALREADY in the system, as there are 52+ Million of us, and it would be Political Suicide to pi** off 52+ Million Voters, no matter what party you are from. So in my case I am happy they "Kicked the can down the Road, a ways" as it gets me where I needed to be. I work, but my wages are so LOW, that I do NOT come close to the LIMIT, set for maximum Employment Income, so I will be getting my full benefit, for a 62 year old retiree. This will basically triple my Annual Income, but I will still be below the Federal Poverty Line. I will get along just spiffy, on what that will be. I have put into the POT, for my whole long life, so I need all you younger folks to keep putting yours IN, so I can GET MINE OUT.... ...... YMMV....

    A nation who spent $110 billion on illegal's medical needs has a need to cut SS? A nation who borrows 44 cents of every dollar it gives away in foreign aid wants to cut aid to our own?

    A constitutional amendment means we have to have to convien a constitutional congress to debat the issue.... if you think they wont change anything thay can that is already there better think twice.. i think a law should sufice if you can get that socialist sob to just follow it....
