Prayers sent for you, your Pop, and the medical staff's sharp skills. Get your rest, and gather your best decision-making thought processes. No matter what happens from this point going forward, you will need to have a well-rested mind to decide important things. Hang tough....
Dad met with the surgeon .. that cath that was to be done could not be done .. his heart is not working at full capacity.. and the dye used has hindered his kidneys .. over all to weak for surgery ... so the surgery is pushed back till Wednesday next week .. in hopes to get him stronger and boost kidney functionality .. the surgeon has stated when this moves forward .. he will be placed on a heart and lung machine Where they will stop his heart .. and the machines take over .. so they can remove the tumor and repair the valve ... this is all we know for now
Shocker of the day .. they tried the cath to see what is going on ..to get a game plan for the surgery .. well that triggered something he went into emergency surgery... after 4 + hours .. the mass is removed from the heart ... a minor bypass was needed as well .. he is in post op .. where they are watching for any blessing or sign of a stroke .. .. They will wake him in an hour ... .. Thank you all for the prayers... will find out final results later if not the morning ..
I know that you are being strong for your dad and your family...just don't neglect yourself....this is likely to be a marathon, than a sprint to homeostasis. Chin up. I commend to you the Survival Resource, Viktor Frankl's "Man's search for Meaning" General Survival - Book Man's Search For Meaning - Viktor Frankl | Survival Monkey Forums for dealing with adversity. Just having a look at the video clips posted in that resource package may be enough for your purposes.
