    OK BT, it's Tuesday, the Doctors should be back from their binge drinking spree, how the heck are you doing?

    Well, today was a total bust.... Had a 3 hour AngioPlasti that mapped the Arteries in my leg, but the blockage was in a place that Balloning & Stints would not Work, So they had to go to PlanC... Bypass Surgery... but they needed at make a new Plan so 3 more hours in Recovery, then lunch @ 3:30 Pm... A new Ultrasound at 6Pm, and a X-Ray series at 6:45Pm so they can formulate a Surgery Plan for tomorrow... If that gets the job done then a few days to recover from that, and then I lose the Toes, and get on the Recovery...In not we will go to Plan Z...

    Today is finally Surgery Day... for my Veins & Arteries... I go down at about 1Pm..., 4 Hours then 2 hours Recovery.. Then hopefully back to this bed...

    Well, Surgery is cancelled for today... Things didn’t go well, today, for the Surgical Team, so they will try again tomorrow...

I think we need to think about adding a SM Recovery and Rehab forum so we can all compare notes, shots, good phlebotomists vs bad phlebotomists, which hospitals serve the most palatable food and which ones have mattresses made out of lead. talk to you again soon

    plopped in a bed
    on a mattress that feels

    The pillows are plump
    as if filled with steel wool

    The johnny he wears
    to cover his jewels
    exposes his arse
    to the nurses, so cruel

    The phlebotomists all smile
    as they puncture his skin
    drawing enough blood
    to feed their vampire kin

    The questions are endless
    as they come from the staff;
    "have your moved your bowels yet today"
    they say with a laugh.

    And then there's the meals
    that come without salt
    hospital orders,
    not the chef's fault.

    Rest up, my friend,
    and soon you'll be well
    to make your escape
    from the living hospital hell.

    Hi Monkeys,
    Just got back to the Med/Surg floor, in a new room, after 6 hours of Surgery, and 18 hours of CCU Recovery.... AlaskaChick just got my Digital Comms set back up, so I can give you the latest.... I have a bypassed Right Leg Artery around the blockage, they found behind my knee, and the Blood-flow to my Right foot is Greatly improved, and actually better than in my uninjured Left Foot... So we are half way home, after a lot of false starts... Now, Plan A is, on Monday to close the open wound in my Right foot and then recover from that, for a Day or two, and FLY HOME.... So we are praying for Plan A...
