New covers for Devil-dogs

It'll take some getting used to, but I never liked those bucket covers that the females had to wear anyway.

I checked into a new unit late one night, many years ago, and the duty NCO gave me the key to a room. I opened the door, and saw my new roommate across the room, asleep, covered with a blanket. Then I glanced up and saw one of those bucket covers on the bookcase, and a female charlie uniform hanging on a hanger. I quietly backed out of the room, and relocked the door; and told the duty NCO that he might want to recheck his barracks chart.

I've never since seen one of those bucket covers, that the image of that night doesn't flash across my mind.
