When I crossed the equator, I took a picture, (old 35mm reflex so no digital). When I got the picture developed you could see the difference in the photo. Everything on the northern side was right side up, as for everything on the southern side of the photo............

Bubbleheads go down, they don't always come back up. My ship was an ASW Frigate, we hunted subs. Of course, frigates were called "two minute ships", our expected lifetime if the shooting started for real. Still have my Shellback card and wall "diploma".
