Motivational Poster Thread (warning content)

I consider most of the people I know these days, as acquaintances, even people I've known for a very long time.
I have had friends long ago and for these I will sacrifice any thing it takes to help them, and they vise versa , not just that we would, but we did.

So, I'll be the grammar Nazi here as I believe it should be "fewer", not "less"...but maybe that's just me...

 

And that will be why intelligent people have “fewer” friends

 

Yeah, figured that would be a likely "side effect" of the post.

 

Pretty sure I know why I have less/fewer friends...

Fewer, or less could work depending on context and intended meaning. Fewer denotes quantity...however, as an adjective, less may denote proportionality, but it can also denote relative ranking or importance.

As to the meme...the quotation seems to be spuriously attributed to Tesla. If anyone can provide an actual citation for the quotation, I'd be interested in looking at it.
