If you lift tem up with a boot does it still count?

I once saw a MSgt cure a private - seems the pvt was on one of the many daily 'fun runs' hosted by the Army unit on the post.

As the whiner was sitting on the ground whimpering, he got a boot to the ass that lifted him to the point I could see daylight. "Arise sinner, you're cured" went with the boot.... The kid took off like a scaled dog.

Makes a funny war story but - in the USAF, the MSgt would be up on charges - and likely out the front gate with a DD in a week or two.

And that is why I was happy to leave the Army post and return the Air Force for the rest of my active duty time....

My time in the Marine Corps ended just as we were learning what hazing was. It didn't change anything, these were/are unit traditions. We just had a new name for it, and did it in private. The boot to the back-side, GI showers, and blanket parties are undoubtedly still practiced on the junior enlisted level. We call it peer pressure. The senior enlisted boot is now called performance counseling.

I had to leave all that behind when I retired. Dealing with civilians is way more fun. I learned it isn't what you say to them, but how you say it. Apparently, "If you touch me again I'm going to stab you in the neck with a screwdriver." is more memorable when you don't even look up, and say it in a normal conversational tone.

 

Wonder if my wife would handle the end of this saw?
No, I'd not be dumb enough to ask, not dumb enough to pick that thing up and try to use it either.

 

That fella's got some old equipment there.
Put some of that in the hands of today's nitwits , and we could thin the gene pool.

 

Next time he says something like that just slap that ass and tell him he couldn't keep up.

having been to Texas, I have seen (and run over a few) Armadillos.

This - I have no idea, a Armapig?

 

Packs of feral pigs scare me. In Alaska, no to much of a problem, the wolves and bears tend to eat them before they get too big.

Other places, not so much.
