I should have caught that sooner, 620 some odd miles would hardly get me to @BTPost 's AO from her near the 45th parallel.

 

What some folks tell me (breathlessly) the Trump Wall will look like. I doubt it, ain't that many bricklayers left in N A any more.

It would be silly to think that a fence alone would completely deter unwanted and illegal entry.

The Berlin Wall (and the entire East-West German border barrier set - has always been portrayed as a sad time in the world.
And yet, we are getting ready to build our own version. If we just didn't have so many living in the US so damn eager to exploit others....a fence might be necessary.

 

Judging from the map....it would seem that the Saudi wall has the same strengths as the Maginot Line.

 

It is certainly as successful, no doubt.

 

That's the unfortunate consequence about some illusions when they are pricked....reality bites when the panzers come screaming through the places where such defences ain't
