Having gutted and dressed fowl and furry game animals that I've then cooked, I'm familiar with the smell of raw offal. Supermarket shoppers are saved that unpleasantness and inconvenience by contracting the messier aspects of meat eating out to others. Out of sight, out of mind. Vegans and vegetarians of course do the same thing, when it comes to ignoring the ethically messier aspects of producing what they eat also. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and the industrialised nature of food production can harm the environment and human interests, all without the consumer having to worry themselves about what they are blissfully unaware of.

I take your point about vegans, 3M; well, at least some of them....it's an ethical / quasi political statement on the part of some, which, like some teetotalers on the condescension spectrum, can be irritating, depending on how much of an asshat the individuals on both sides of the issue are. Good hosts and guests will make allowances for those who don't share their own food eating fetishes.

 

Oh man....you neglected the aphrodisiac from the horn....probably the main reason unicorns are extinct.

 

There comes a time in a man's life when he appreciates all the help he can get.....had Viagra been synthesized much earlier in human history, unicorns wouldn't be extinct and rhinoceros and some other species would not be endangered. Fortunately my imagination is unimpaired....that seems to work well enough for me.

No.....just sad.

 

Unfortunately most folks don't remember that only female unicorns have metallic glitter... male unicorns use male glitter otherwise known as saw dust... incidentally I believe that many K's , C's and MRE's contain some male unicorn glitter... Based on taste alone...

 

The real reason nobody see unicorns these days.....

 

If you are too busy looking for your unicorn, life will pass you by.
