A bacon beer stein! Pure Genus!!!!

 

Proof that God exists and is Good. Suffering commences after 1) the bacon is gone and 2) we may thus have no more beer. Proof as well that we create our own suffering and not God.

The bacon should balance out with the beer. Last sip, last bite. Then, the world is once again in harmony and then it's time for a nap. Life's good.

A non sequiter.....vegans don't eat lawn clippings. I'm sure that vegans experience the same kind of neural responses and digestive anticipation to appetising vegetarian cuisine as carnivores might of steaming flesh. Do meat eating humans salivate when they are gutting the entrails from the pig they are slaughtering?

....of course the picture doesn't convey the smell.....not very appealing....less so than fresh lawn clippings for most.

And that is why we cook. even raw vegans cook. They don't call it that but they do cook.

There is a big difference, at least out here, between a vegetarian and a vegan. The first difference is that a vegetarian knows that the "g" in vegetable is pronounced like a "j". The second difference is that a vegetarian simply doesn't eat meat and goes on with life. Vegans, on the other hand are pretty aggressive with a superior and condescending attitude towards us carnivores. Then again, this is Portlandia.

Also, I think @chelloveck 's post was good in that most of us omnivores have a disconnect between ourselves and the reality of the meat we consume. I've even seen examples of people chiding hunters for their brutality when they should have gotten their meat from a store where no animals were harmed. I don't think, however, many people on a forum like this are ignorant about where meat comes from.
