That was my one nightmare while working as as medic in Alaska - some fool getting crosswise with a bear while out training. Comms where a crapshoot and if you couldn't get a dust-off, the pt was Screwed (with a capital s)...and dead.

 

To join two male threads, requires the use of liberal clergy, commonly known as a "union nut" or coupler.

 

I guess to join two female threads you still require a stud?

 

A nut coupler sounds kind of painful to me...but, to each his own...

By extraction, then it would take a double ended screw device to join two female threads? I think I might have seen one in a movie once - it was purple...

Yours is a nice example of inuendo to make an invalid point. It's not the screwing that makes the union work. And it's not the union that makes the screwing work.That which is screwed can be unscrewed. What makes the the union work is the glue of love and affection of the two parts for each other that make a better whole. Maintaining the strength of the glue is what makes for an enduring relationship. No threads required.

 

Tape recorder? Who could afford that new-fangled tape? Wire is where it's at!
