God Bless Texas. We are starting to get it right.

 

The Vet seated is none with than (at the time) Lt Col Gadson . He may also be motivating injured soldiers by playing one in Battleship, a film which stars some other Hollywood type f**kwits.

In the movie, released in the United States , the colonel plays a wounded Army vet named Mick who helps save the world from the aliens - by kicking their ass.

As far as SciFi movies go, not bad. I paid my nickel solely because the director had the ( ) to hire a real vet - a rarity in Hollywierd - to play a Vet.

FWIW - Col Gadson didn't have to "act" as he is the real deal.

Recruiting posters for the WASP service just didn't exist...it was all pretty much all word-of-mouth.

Minor correction, Jenner wasn't an Olympic swimmer, he was a track and field person most famous for winning gold in the Decathlon. Among those events is the broad jump, but it looks like he, she, It? won't be jumping broads anytime soon...

 

Wrong question. Right questions are "which one has reason to doubt he is still every bit a man?" And "which one had to be told he was brave?"

I do wonder at the apparent obsession of some who compare cis gender amputee war veterans with Caitlin Jenner to make a point. It's a silly comparison. If being a war hero is the gold standard for comparisons with Caitlin Jenner, why not compare a trans gender war veteran with Caitlin.

A better comparison would be to compare Kristin Beck with Caitlyn Jenner...Kristin and Caitlin are both conservatives, and both are transgender...one is a decorated war veteran, one is a decorated civilian former athlete.

I guess amputees have much more pity appeal in creating an apparent sense of unfairness between the recognition and attention given one trans woman, and the apparent lack of recognition and interest in heroic cis gender war veterans.

 

You are usually more astute than that, chelly. It has nothing to do with anything sexual. It has more to do with the complete indifference this President shows toward those he sends out to die. They are just a tool to him, and one that does not fit his hand well.
He elevates for the wrong reasons, and dismisses those who have earned his respect. He honors a clock making kid from a family of activists, yet can't be bothered to even call the families of the dead. He disrespects the very people he owes his freedom and position to. Obummer calls someone "brave" for admitting to being a sterile mule, (one that can not reproduce as he is, because what he is is artificial) while at the same time he can not even acknowledge those who truly are brave.
Nothing in life is fair. Nothing in nature is fair. The only fare that matters is what is on the table, or a gathering.
No, this is not about fairness, but respect. Obummer shows none to those who have earned it, and gives it away freely to those who have not earned it.
If all you can see here is a sexual agenda, take your blinders off. You are on the wrong street.
