hmmm... only 30% of doctors get the diagnosis right on th first try... maybe Google has something going for it....?

 

There is a reason that my wife has strict instructions that under no circumstances am I to be taken to the hospital in the event of an accident. She's been told over a hundred times to get my ass to a vet.. The main distinction between a doctor and a veterinarian, the vet's care about their patients...

 

I can tell you that I have been right using my Google-Fu when the doctors were wrong...

 

this made me laugh because at 1st I thought you were calling yourself a dog. opps! my bad interpretation.

2nd because you are right vets are better doctors, not just because they care but because their patients cant talk they are better at diagnoses. You have to be much more observant when the patient cant talk to you and tell you stories (aka lie) when you are ill the 'why' doesnt matter. What matters is 'how do we fix this' .

 

I've been called a dog for many years.. Ever since Feb 22nd 1991.. Oooohhh Rahhh...

 

Except for an emergency your doctor usually gets just a few minutes with you each visit. The rest of the time an assistant is taking your blood pressure etc. Vets normally don't have to work quite as rushed. I made the connection after we got our border collie last year that the vet spent more time with her than my doctor did with me.

@T.Riley I have hope for your son, one day he will come back to his roots. My sister went from leftist extremist to conservative. All it took was owning her own business. Then she saw how much business owners worked and how many extra taxes and fees they had to pay in the interest of supporting the government and other liberals.

Funny how when money comes from your pocket you get conservative really quick.

and @kellory is partially correct, liberalism is about 'being cared for' if you don't appear to 'care for others' then you must be a radical right wing conservative. It makes liberals so easy to manipulate. Just saying.

When people care only for an appearance of caring about another individual then they are easily lied too. I like to see what people 'do' not what they ' say they care about' but what actions they take. That tells me what they 'care' about.

Solution, if you can get him to go for it...

Take him to the range, if he seems to like it (he won't admit it), buy him an AR for Christmas.
