A number of Christian clerics (and Christian politicians) have been bleating that Christians be afforded the highest priority. My own view is that the refugees be assessed, not according to which god they believe or what faith tradition they follow....but what their actual needs are: Does a well connected refugee Christian Baathist supporter of Bashar Al-Assad warrant a higher priority over a Kurdish Iraqi muslim or a Syrian Druze muslim, just because he/she is a Christian??

The following are some of the factors that should be considered when making those assessment decisions.

That said....some refugees may go back home where it is safer....

 

Yazidi aren't Muslims. I think they are more similar to Zoroastras. I know a couple people from work who are Zoroastrian and they would NOT like to be called Muslim.
