Maybe it was possible to be like this when the wife stayed home and cooked, cleaned and looked after the kids.

Now women work 1 or 2 jobs, cook, clean and look after the kids. Women haven't changed, the economy has and there simply isn't enough left of us to wait on you boys hand and foot. If you want women softer thenyou have to provide for them so they have time to do things like take care of their men.

Same thing with sharing your body, when you are single your body is your own. When you get married you share it with your husband, when you have kids you share your body with your kids and your husband. How many people do men share their bodies with? I'm not criticizing I am just laying out the facts.

Yup. My wife works because she wants to work. She was a stay at home mom until the youngest of the kinder was in 3rd grade. Then she found a job she liked and been at it ever since....

Either way (work or not) I would support her choice. And as you noted, I have the luxury of choice - not many do today....

As for the "wait on you" - I posted the pic with the WOW after. As in how, how old is that way of thinking?

Oddly before I got married, I was (and still am) a fully functional adult. Earn a good paycheck, cook my own food, do my own laundry, etc, etc.
I get home before the love of my life and fix dinner, even do the dishes. On the weekends, she does the same. I think this is one of the ways couples evolve over time.

As for the working two jobs... Can't say. Lots of folks are in that boat. I worked 3 separate jobs while at college. I put a lot of things on hold until I graduated and could support myself/could afford things. That 'waiting' seems to be a vanishing (ability? Self discipline?) trend in today's world. All the more a shame as it locks people into a kind of slavery - to the credit card or bank.... I really believe the term wage slave is more accurate than folks believe.

I'm a fan as is my son, who BTW, is a better cook - if he has a kitchen. Outdoors, that is an altogether different story.....
