And one of the best burgers anywhere. PDX has more strip clubs per capita than any other US city. Even Vegas pales by comparison, with the majority of their clubs concentrated in two areas and no nudity if they serve liquor (at least that's what a friend told me... ). In Portland odds are you neighborhood bar is a strip joint. You see, you can go to a bar, pay a a couple of bucks for a beer and listen to the guy next to you cry about his ex wife OR you can go into a bar, pay a couple of bucks for a beer and look at a naked woman. Your call...

 

My mother was a teenager during the depression and told me she never knew it happen until she was in her twenties. My grandfather was a blacksmith and my grandmother kept a milk cow and chickens and raised a large garden to feed her and her five sisters. Every morning for two years my mother took a quart of milk to a neighbor who had a baby she could not nurse. Simpler and better times and people I think.

 

Thanks Ganado. The t-shirt you posted has given me the inspiration to get the container garden going again this fall.
My wife maintained it with my help, but I didn't seem to want to keep it up when I lost her last month, 6 days before our 39th wedding anniversary.

 

@Gray Wolf. Aww I'm so sorry for you loss. The most difficult part is always the things you shared. I'm glad you are taking the plunge again.

Gardening, while drinking, can be very therapeutic. You only get in trouble if the plants start talking back to you. if the plants start talking it's time to stop drinking
