Ach.....it's a disingenuous claim....God is compulsory in many schools in America...particularly privately run sectarian schools and many home schools. God also frequently gets invited even into State funded public schools....mostly in prayers muttered by indolent students as they enter their examination rooms. The God...who utterly destroyed the Egyptians persuing the Israelites, The God who virtually destroyed the whole of life on Earth (excepting one family and a boat load of sundry fauna)....deterred by The First Ammendment of the US Constitution and a few SCOTUS rulings?....you're having me on...

The other day I scolded my child for being disrespectful and sent him to his room for an hour, made him pick up dog shit in the yard and when he was done he apologized for his behavior. The parents of the kid down the street let him do what he wants to do without fear of punishment and he is pretty much on the road to being behind bars. I may not be catholic in the sense that I follow the church, but it seems that the ones that get "a talking to" who don't listen and then get handed a shovel to clean up the shit they've done usually get the picture that mom and dad are not to be fucked with. The parent that doesn't seems to be the problem to me.

 

This fits right in with the above.
