I too bought only one new car, at my Father's insistence. Huge mistake. I literally hated that car, (1979 Mercury Monarch) from the day I bought it. Gave me nothing but trouble. And the dealer refused to honor the $640 extended warranty I had bought too. Also the last time I ever got an extended warrenty.
I traded the POS on a 1975 Firebird once I owed less than the trade-in value. I drove that Firebird 8 years and put nearly two hundred thousand miles on it. Lesson learned - NEVER let another person tell you what car to buy!

 

Never bought a new car,,the only new vehicle ever bought was a '82 Harley while I was in the Corps. Rode 3 yrs ,, got out of the Corps,, when I paid it off , I traded it for an '81 Harley ,, still have the '81. Plus 2 others .
