Yeah, I'll bet they are. It's one adult treating someone as an adult who is old enough to fight and die, vote, drink, or marry.
Perhaps, (just maybe) they are also old enough to make their own decisions as to what they put in their own bodies, without being protected from themselves.
If I were to gift you a knife or gun, I am making the assumption, you are adult enough to use it responsibly.

as for the "Ronnie Raygun" comment....this man earned my respect, and the title of President. I would vote for him again, if I could.
